Now, the cave will have a rest until february the 8th.
Thus, we are closed for guided tour and we carry on the undertaken works.

New lights for the cave
Since september, some more environment respectful lights are being tested in the high parts of the cave ("Cemetery" zone). We have chosen low-voltage LED bulbs (Light-Emitting Diode).
This operation is the first step of a new energy and lighting policy in
Clamouse. Thus, in an environmental perspective, this will lead to less
energy consumption (a LED wastes 5 times less). Moreover, this will
permit less heat emanation (nocive to speleothems) and will limit the
conditions of a photosynthesis process and so the development of
micro-vegetations. |
